A simplified version of the Guatemalan national flag, without the coat of arms, is used as a fin flash. It is used under this form, or painted on the whole rudder of the aircraft.
Some aircraft have had the wingtips painted with three stripes blue-white-blue.
It is sometimes used in a stylised form on the tail or on the fuselage of some aircraft.
