Roundel used on the aircraft of the Latvijas Gaiaspeki (Latvian Air Force).

Variation Top

Eight-pointed red cross, with thin white central stripes.

Roundel currently used on the aircraft of the Latvian National Guard, Latvijas Zemmessardze, combining the drawing of the flag and of a ancient latvian symbol for the rising sun, the Ausektilis.

Former Top

Red svastika over a white circuar background.

Roundel used from 1918 to 1940, similar to that of Finland a the same period.

 

Red cross with V shaped branch tipss, over a white circular background.

Roundel used from 1937 to 1940 on the aircraft of the National Guard, with the same inspiration than the current roundel.
