The Paraguayan flag shows in its center the arms of the country, which consist in a three-coloured roundel, with the writing Republica del Paraguay on the red part, a laurel wreath on the white part, and a yellow star on the blue part, star which is also on the three-striped fin flash.

The flag is also sported on the tail of the aircraft, with a yellow star in place of the arms. One can find it sometimes on the whole rudder. The yellow star is not always painted.
